Intensity, my brothers stumbling behind me. Enemies racing, a chase so not decent, a regular human would have passed out by now. But, we were leaving them in the dust. Not surprising, at least to me…
“I knew it would come to this.” I say to my brothers. They nod.
“We’re going to make it, I promise.” Andrew tells me, I nod at that too.
It came quick; I tripped and fell over the cliff. I felt like forever until I landed on an edge, still screaming, paralyzed. My back felt an uncomfortable stab of pain. Also my side, I moaned softly, I had the wind knocked out of me. No, I’m dying slowly. Yes I’m probably going to die.
“Julia! No!” M yells.
Too late to talk to me I thought, I felt my heart slowing down, it’s over, it’s over, and it’s over. Before I know it I go into haze.
